Moniteau County Post Offices and Postmasters

 

The first Post Office in what is now Moniteau County was established at Moniteau in 1830. This Post Office later became Jamestown in 1850. At present, there are 8 active Post Offices -- California, Clarksburg, Fortuna, High Point, Jamestown, Latham, McGirk and Tipton.
