Shelter Insurance (Tipton)

(est. 1946 as MFA Insurance)

Jim Nivens has been the Shelter Insurance agent in Tipton since September 1992. Shelter, formerly MFA (Missouri Farmers Association) Insurance has had an agent in Tipton since 1946. They originally operated out of the MFA Exchange. Former agents include Claude Ferguson, L. D. Schaffter, and Bill Moss. Shelter is a multi-line insurance agency focused on auto, home, life and business insurance.

 

After moving out of the MFA Exchange building, the insurance agency was located at 110 W. Moniteau Street until it moved to the present location in 2003.
