From the 1980 History of Moniteau County:

W. E. Wilson started the business in 1960. It was purchased from Mr. Wilson in January, 1966 by Eddie Blankenship.

In 1975, Duane Blankenship joined the firm and in 1978 added Real Estate to the complete line of insurance already being offered. It is now called Blankenship Insurance and Realty.

According to the December 10, 1959 Calfiornia Democrat, the Comer and Wilson Insurance Agency moved to a new building on Highway 50 West east of the George Schwab filling station. The new agency was started October 1, 1959 and operated by William E Wilson and John T Comer.

Aaron Spieler purchased the agency at the end of 2016 when it was renamed Spieler Insurance Group.
