Tipton Ready Mix

(Est. prior to 1967)

 

From the 2008 Pictorial History of Tipton:

Fischer Concrete Company of Sedalia purchased the Prestage Ready Mix business from Max Prestage in 1989. At that time, the name was changed to Tipton Ready Mix. The business office for the plant is located on the north side of Moniteau Street in the east end of Tipton. . . The business sells ready mix concrete, rebar and miscellaneous construction supplies.

 

George Powell operated a concrete business on east Moniteau Street for a number of years. Max and Sue Prestage purchased the Ready Mix plant from Powell in March 1967.
